Research partnerships

Help build the evidence base for governance that actually protects athletes.

01

What we offer researchers

The roadmap includes a structured dataset on how sport organisations govern mental wellbeing—anonymised, consented and above k-anonymity thresholds—followed later by a public registry API. Research access opens only after the governance and data controls exist.

02

Priority collaborations

Current priorities are framework content validation, psychometrics and threshold setting, implementation science, confidential athlete-interview methodology, data-governance review and evaluation of whether verified systems change access and trust.

03

The access boundary

A collaboration agreement does not unlock identifiable athlete data or an applicant’s audit file. Each project needs a defined purpose, lawful basis, minimised dataset, ethics position, disclosure review, retention period and publication plan.

04

What a useful proposal includes

Tell us the question, population, method, jurisdiction, expertise, ethics route, expected output and what MindsMelt or participating organisations would need to contribute. Clear proposals are easier to challenge and safer to approve.
